I did something which I will never do again. I saw the movie and then read the book, Mistake. The book is far better. Charlie and Sam are loveable characters both in different stages of high school helping each other along the way. It is a diary layout which makes you feel like you are inside of Charlie’s head, feeling his emotions. I loved the term wallflower as it is a term I could relate to for many years of my school life. Themes of mental health and romance. Just a brilliant read!
